The Oklahoma City Thunder are back in the Western Conference Finals series for the first time since 2016.  During the regular season, the Thunder played their division rival four times, splitting those games with each team getting a home and road victory against the other. The Wolves won two out of three meetings scheduled around the all star break against OKC despite being without important rotational players Julius Randle, Rudy Gobert and Donte DiVincenzo.

Minnesota’s ability and willingness to trap and still recover defensively will be something worth monitoring. The Wolves have only lost six games since the beginning of March, which coincides with the team’s health improving. Oklahoma City is still a significant betting favorite to win the NBA Championship after their historic regular season. The series begins on Tuesday and can be heard on the flagship home for Thunder basketball 98.1 FM WWLS The Sports Animal.
