Jim is the guy you either love or hate when it comes to the Sports Animal. 

 

Known as “The Ultimate” by so many, Jim has been on the airwaves of the Sports Animal with his epic rants since the 90’s. Jim was born in Columbus Ohio and spent most of his childhood in Columbia Maryland. Jim was recruited to play football under Jimmy Johnson and baseball under Gary Ward at Oklahoma State University in 1979. Jim played quarterback at Oklahoma State along side Houston Nutt. For baseball, he played the pitcher position at Oklahoma State. Jim would later be inducted into the Oklahoma State Baseball Hall Of Fame. 
After college, Jim made his way to the majors. He began his career with the Baltimore Orioles in 1982. His major league career would span for five seasons, including two years playing in Japan. While in the majors, Jim played with all-time greats like Eddie Murray and Cal Ripken Jr. Following his time in the big league, Jim began his venture into sports radio broadcasting. Jim began working for the Sports Animal in 1998. In 1999, he would join the Arizona Diamond Backs Radio Network as an analyst. Following his radio career in Arizona, Jim returned to Oklahoma and rejoined the Sports Animal. Jim can also be seen on Fox 25 Sunday nights with Curtis Fitzpatrick. He enjoys spending time with his wife Julie and his five children. However, you can always find Jim at a poker table with a winning hand. As Jim’s length in sports radio approaches the 30 year mark. He says that calling the 2001 World Series was the best moment of his career. Jim also says he loves working for the Sports Animal because “they let me say whatever the heck I wanna say.”
