- Week 0 will feature a trio of Big 12 teams with No. 22 Iowa State and No. 17 Kansas State facing off on ESPN in Ireland in the Aer Lingus College Football Classic’s first-ever ranked matchup. Kansas will also welcome Fresno State in the first game in re-imagined David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium on FOX.
- No. 22 Iowa State’s and No. 17 Kansas State’s game in Ireland is just the second nationally-ranked matchup in FBS on opening day since 2000.
- Big 12 QB Club: The Big 12 has nine teams that return quarterbacks who threw for 2,400 yards or more last season, nearly twice the total of any other Power 4 conference. The Conference also bolstered its QB class with talented newcomers.
- The Big 12 had more signal callers than any other conference in America on the Davey O’Brien and Manning Award Preseason Watch Lists.
- 2025 marks the 30th season of Big 12 Football, which held its inaugural season in 1996.
- The Big 12 will create excitement again this season after the Conference led the nation in 2024 in fourth-quarter lead changes and go-ahead scores in the final minute of conference games.
- The Big 12 Conference will publicly provide player availability reports for all Conference games this season, beginning with the Week 0 game between No. 22 Iowa State and No. 17 Kansas State.
- Tickets are now on sale for the Big 12 Football Championship Game, exclusively on SeatGeek. The game will feature a halftime performance by country music star Jon Pardi on Saturday, December 6 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on ABC.
