OKLAHOMA CITY, July 16, 2026 โย Oklahomaย City Thunder Head Coach Mark Daigneault has been named an assistant coach for the USA Basketball Menโs National Team, it was announced today by USA Basketball.

This past season, Daigneault led the Thunder to a 64-18 record, the best record in the NBA for the second consecutive season, and the number one seed in the Western Conference for the third season in a row. Oklahoma City led the league in both defensive rating (106.5) and net rating (11.1) during the 2025-26 season.
Daigneault is set to begin his seventh season at the helm for the Thunder and his 13th season with the organization overall. He has been named both NBA Coach of the Year (2024) and NBCA Coach of the Year (2024) and has won Western Conference Coach of the Month honors five times in his career.
He has previously served as a video coordinator with USA Basketball gold medal winning 2013 USA U19 and 2014 U18 national teams.
