OKLAHOMA CITY, June 29, 2026 – The Oklahoma City Thunder exercised its 2026-27 contract option on guard/forward Luguentz Dort, it was announced today by Executive Vice President and General Manager Sam Presti.
Dort has appeared in 432 career games (423 starts) during seven seasons with the Thunder and owns averages of 11.6 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 28.9 minutes per game. The Montreal native has helped lead the Thunder to consecutive seasons with the top defensive rating in the NBA and a 132-32 record over the past two seasons, best in the NBA.
The seven-year NBA veteran is one of four players in Thunder history to earn All-Defensive First Team honors (2025) and he is one of just eight undrafted players in NBA history to receive such honors. His 862 three-pointers made ranks third in team history, while his 410 steals ranks sixth.
