Game Previews
Matt Meyer: Cowboys have had a week to regroup and recover from a humiliating 69-3 loss at Oregon. Nothing positive out of that one whatsoever. The defense was obliterated and the offense was handcuffed all day. The difference in team speed between the two teams was alarming. OSU won’t see a team that talented the rest of the season, which is most assuredly a good thing. Oklahoma State hosts Tulsa this Friday at 6:30 on ESPN. The Golden Hurricane are 1-2 after a loss to Navy on Saturday. Former Cowboy Dominic Richardson has ran for nearly 300 yards and over 5 yards a carry for TU this year. Another former Cowboy, Braylin Presley, has ran for over 7 yards a carry. The Tulsa defensive front is led by J’Dan Burnett (4 sacks) and Byron Turner (3 1/2 sacks). CB Elijah Green already has 3 INT and 2 PBU’s. Despite how bad things looked in Eugene, this is a game that OSU should win. Pokes may not be favored often this year, but they are here.
