In a three-team trade, the Oklahoma City Thunder traded 2025 All-Defensive wing Luguentz Dort to the Atlanta Hawks in exchange for three second-round picks, with former No. 1 overall pick Zaccharie Risacher heading to the Dallas Mavericks and Ryan Nembhard going to Atlanta, ESPN reported on Sunday.
While Dort has been a mainstay in Oklahoma City’s starting lineup for years, this deal completes a necessary stretch of offseason deals for the Thunder. They have acquired seven second-round picks while going under the second apron with their trades of Dort, Isaiah Joe and Aaron Wiggins.

Oklahoma City picked up Dort’s $17.7 million team option, acquired three future assets and created a $17 million trade exception. Dort is now in position to sign a long-term contract in Atlanta that was infeasible with the Thunder.
Dort, 27, joins a talented, young Hawks team led by Dyson Daniels and Nickeil Alexander-Walker that won more playoff games against the NBA champion New York Knicks than any other opponent. Atlanta also freed up $40-plus million in cap space next summer.
A member of the NBA’s All-Defensive team in 2025 who finished fourth in Defensive Player of the Year voting, Dort averaged 8.3 points and 3.6 rebounds in 69 games last season. He averaged 11.6 points and 3.8 rebounds in seven seasons with the Thunder.
In his second NBA season, the 21-year-old Risacher averaged 9.6 points and 3.8 rebounds in 67 games. However, he received just 23 minutes during the playoffs. The forward finished second to the Spurs’ Stephon Castle in the NBA’s 2025 Rookie of the Year voting.
Nembhard, 23, played in 60 games for the Mavericks as a rookie guard last season. The undrafted free agent made 19 starts and averaged 6.6 points, 5.3 assists and 2.2 rebounds.

OKLAHOMA CITY, July 19, 2026 – The Oklahoma City Thunder has acquired three second-round picks and generated a trade exception as part of a three-team trade with the Atlanta Hawks and Dallas Mavericks, it was announced today by Executive Vice President and General Manager Sam Presti. Atlanta will receive guard/forward Luguentz Dort and guard Ryan Nembhard while Dallas will receive guard/forward Zaccharie Risacher.
Dort appeared in 432 career games (423 starts) during seven seasons with the Thunder and averaged 11.6 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 28.9 minutes per game. The Montreal native helped lead the Thunder to consecutive seasons with the top defensive rating in the NBA and a 132-32 record over the past two seasons, best in the NBA.
One of four players in Thunder history to earn All-Defensive First Team honors (2025), Dort is also one of just eight undrafted players in NBA history to receive such honors. His 862 three-pointers made rank third in team history, while his 410 steals rank sixth.
Oklahoma City will have one year from today to exercise the trade exception.
