Cardinals manager Oliver Marmol was ejected in the seventh inning of St. Louis’ game with the New York Yankees on Sunday by home plate umpire Nik Lentz for protesting ball-and-strike calls.
Marmol has gained a reputation for being tossed from games for arguing calls, having also been ejected on July 13 in a game vs. the Atlanta Braves for the same activity.
Earlier in today’s game during the fourth inning, Yankees catching coach Tanner Swanson earned an ejection from third base umpire Vic Carapazza for the same reason.
