THUNDER SIGNS JALEN WILLIAMS TO MULTI-YEAR CONTRACT EXTENSION
OKLAHOMA CITY, July 13, 2025 – The Oklahoma City Thunder has signed guard/forward Jalen Williams to a multi-year contract extension, it was announced today by Executive Vice President and General Manager Sam Presti. Per team policy, terms of the agreement were not released.
Williams appeared in 69 games (all starts) during the 2024-25 campaign and averaged career-highs of 21.6 points, 5.3 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 1.61 steals (seventh in NBA) in 32.4 minutes per game. He was one of only four players to average at least 20.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.50 steals per game this season.
The third-year guard/forward was named to the 2024-25 All-NBA Third Team, earned his first career All-Star appearance and was named to the 2024-25 NBA All-Defensive Second Team this season.
Williams averaged 21.4 points, 5.5 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.39 steals during the Thunder’s 2025 playoff run on its way to the team’s first NBA Championship. He scored 25-plus points in three straight games during the NBA Finals, becoming just the fifth player in the last 40 years to do so before the age of 25.
Over the course of 215 career games (202 starts), the Santa Clara product has averaged 18.1 points on 51.3% shooting, including 38.2% from three-point range, to go along with 4.6 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.37 steals in 32.4 minutes per game.
