Recently on Sports Morning, Craig Humphreys, Pat Jones, and I compiled some top 10 lists concerning football coaches. Here’s my list of the top 10 active college football coaches. I looked at my list based upon who I would want coaching my team for one game, one season, and who I would want to lead my program over the long haul. I took all matters into account, not just who I’d want to coach my team if I had to win just one game, or who among the active coaches has done the best job over their career, or any other singular criteria. Taking all factors into account, and also considering Coach Jones’ three part job description of a head coach, which is coach, recruit, and sell the program, here’s my list.
