Daly, Singh withdraw from PGA Championship

Former champions John Daly and Vijay Singh have withdrawn from the PGA Championship this week at TPC Harding Park in San Francisco.

The PGA Championship is the first major of 2020 and is scheduled to begin Thursday without fans in attendance.

Daly, who won the PGA Championship in 1991, cited health concerns, according to tournament officials. He’ll be replaced in the field by Denny McCarthy.

Singh, who won the PGA Championship in 1998 and 2004, cited an unspecified injury and will be replaced by Argentina’s Emiliano Grillo.

Both Daly, 54, and Singh, 57, competed in the Ally Challenge on the Champions Tour over the weekend.
