Clemson coach Brad Brownell gets extension through 2025-26

Clemson coach Brad Brownell has agreed to a contract extension through the 2025-26 season.The deal was announced after university trustees approved it on Friday.According to the Greenville News, Brownell will make $2.6 million this season, $2.75 million the next two seasons and $3 million the following two campaigns.The 52-year-old Brownell is the winningest coach in program history with a 201-150 record through 11 seasons. He has guided the Tigers into three NCAA Tournaments, including a run to the Sweet 16 in 2018.”Brad continues to be a great leader and ambassador for our men’s basketball program,” athletic director Dan Radakovich said in a statement. “In addition to being our all-time winningest coach and advancing to the NCAA Tournament in one of the most challenging years in recent memory, he continues to maintain a focus on academic performance.”
