QB Tuttle wins waiver, eligible at Indiana in 2019

Utah transfer quarterback Jack Tuttle won an eligibility waiver from the NCAA and will be allowed to play this season at Indiana.Tuttle, who left the Utes halfway through his freshman season after not playing, has four years of eligibility remaining.”We are very pleased for Jack and his family,” Hoosiers coach Tom Allen said in a statement on Wednesday. “We look forward to him competing this fall. We also appreciate the NCAA’s assistance throughout this process.”Tuttle, a former four-star recruit out of San Marcos, Calif., has been participating in Indiana’s spring practice, joining what is expected to be a three-man race into fall camp. The Hoosiers also have returning starter Peyton Ramsey and redshirt freshman Michael Penix, who is limited this spring while recovering from a torn ACL in October.Ramsey is a junior who completed 295 of 447 passes for 2,875 yards, with 19 touchdowns and 13 interceptions last season.
