5 Must-Go-To Games for Thunder Fans

By Josh Lea

The Oklahoma City Thunder have released the 2019-20 schedule. While most of us are gearing for football season, Thunder season is right around the corner. There are plenty of games to be excited about this season. The Thunder will start the 2019 season on the road in Utah on October 23rd. On October 25th, the Thunder will have their home opener against the Washington Wizards.

This season is a chance for the Thunder to showcase their young talent and shock the NBA with some upsets and great matchups. Except for some games featuring young up-and-comers and the leadership of Chris Paul and Steven Adams. Here are five must-go-to games for the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The first of five games occurs early in the season. The Thunder will host Portland on October 30th. Now, it’s no fun reliving a haunting nightmare of the shot by Portland’s Damian Lillard one night before Halloween. However, this game will be fun because of the playoff matchup of last season.

The second game that you’ll want tickets to go to is the nationally televised game against the Milwaukee Bucks on November 10th. The Thunder will take on Giannis Antetokounmpo and company. Giannis is one of the NBA’s most popular rising stars and you can expect for his skills to be on full display during this matchup.

The third of the five games feature the New Orleans Pelicans on November 29th. This game will be exciting to go to for the chance to see rookie sensation, Zion Williamson. The former Duke Blue Devil is going to make his mark in the NBA as a rookie and Thunder fans can get a first-hand look at the young star as he comes to Oklahoma City.

The fourth game on this list is none other than the Los Angeles Clippers. The return of Paul George happens in Oklahoma on December 22nd. This game will definitely be a hot ticket as many fans will want to pay their respects to George when he returns to Oklahoma City.

The fifth game is one of the three nationally televised games for the Thunder this season. The Thunder will host the Houston Rockets on January 9th. This game features the return of Russell Westbrook as he and James Harden will take on the Thunder.
